The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ondo governorship election, Agboola Ajayi, has expressed displeasure at the conduct of the election in Kiribo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area

The PDP candidate who casted his vote at Polling Unit 004, Apoi Ward 2, Kiribo, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state, accused the Independent National Election Commission of bias, saying he had received reports of delays in the commencement of voting in parts of the state.

The PDP governorship candidate and a former deputy governor said it took almost 10 minutes before he could cast his vote after battling with accreditation, describing it as an attempt to frustrate voters.

Ajayi, said, he has concerns because “The BVAS devices are not working. Although the election is peaceful to some extent,

“The system is compromised and we have series of calls made by everybody. People are complaining of vote buying, BVAS problem. It is a very shameful exercise,” he said.

“Why are security personnel stationed so close to my polling unit? They are intimidating voters. The distance between voters and military officers is uncomfortably close.”

Agboola, called for the resignation of INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu,

“And I think people should call on the INEC chairman to resign if he cannot do the job. He should just resign
“The system has been compromised. It is sad that the INEC can’t conduct an election well in one state,” Ajayi said.
