The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, in the 2023 election, Kunle Ajayi, was among the protesters arrested by men of the Ondo State Police Command on Saturday the day 10 of the.#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.
No fewer than nine youths who were taking part in the protest were also arrested in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The protesters, who converged on the NEPA Roundabout area, were allegedly disrupted by the men of the state police command.
According to one of the protesters, some of those arrested included, Patrix Owolabi, Oluwatobi Akinkuotu, Kolawole Kumuyi and Olalekan Oladehinde.
He said, “The arrest is highly condemnable, If the police has any evidence of violence from the protesters, it should come out with it.”
When contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, promised to keep us posted but was yet to do so.
