Few days after his return form a two weeks official leave, which he spent in France and the United Kingdom, a refreshed President Tinubu has effected his much awaited cabinet reshuffle.
While Nigerians were looking forward to a reshuffling of positions, President Tinubu, sacked 5 ministers and appointed 7 new ones.
The sacked ministers are: minister of women affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, minister of tourism, Lola Ade-John, and minister of youth development. Jamila Bio Ibrahim,
Minister of education,Tahir Mamman was also relieved of his duty so also was the minister of state, housing and urban development. Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, who has been replaced.
The termination of their appointment was announced at the federal executive council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.
“The president, in a statement, thanked the outgoing members of the Federal Executive Council for their service to the nation while wishing them the best in their future endeavour”

“He then charged the newly appointed ministers as well as their reassigned colleagues to see their appointment as a call to serve the nation.
“He added that all appointees must understand the administration’s eagerness and determination to set Nigeria on the path to irreversible growth and invest the best of their abilities into the actualisation of the government’s priorities.”
The president also announced the re-assignment of 10 ministers to new portfolios and the nomination of seven new ministers for onward transmission
to the national assembly for confirmation.
