The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has won all the local councils’ chairmanship and councillorship seats, in Zamfara state Local Government’s election which held in the fourteen Local Government Areas of the State on Saturday, 16th November 2024.
The chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission, ZASIEC, Bala Aliyu declared the PDP candidates winner of the local Government’s election this Sunday morning.
The State Electoral body chairman also announced at the Local council’s election results collation centre in Gusau that eleven Political parties fielded candidates and participated in the election.

The major opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) had boycotted the local government election in Zamfara State over alleged contravention of the Electoral law, the three-month notice.
The commission chairman Bala Aliyu said the commission has done its best to deliver credible, transparent and acceptable local Government’s election.
The commission will immediately issue certificates of return to the winners of the local councils poll, candidates of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who swept the championship and councilorship positions in the fourteen LGAs and 147 wards in Zamfara State, Northwest, Nigeria.
