Members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, will beginning from February 2025 be receiving a new monthly allowance of N77,000
The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, announced this in Katsina State on Thursday while speaking to the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members.
The NYSC boss, confirmed that the new monthly allowance has been included in the 2025 Federal Government budget and will take effect as soon as the budget is passed into law
“This month, January, has already ended, but once the budget is passed, by next month, February, you will start receiving N77,000 instead of the usual N33,000,” he said.

Ahmed, assured the corps NYSC members of government’s commitment to their welfare and security, urging them to be patriotic in service.
He dispelled fear of corps members of being posted to areas with security threats, assuring that, “We will not send our corps members to any areas with security challenges. Wherever we send them, they should be assured that the place is safe and secure for them to serve.”
Members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, have been looking forward to earning the the new minimum wage since president Bola Tinubu, increased it and was passed it into law.
