He noted that the allegations against the REC alluding connivance with any political party to subvert the governorship election in state is false and unsubstantiated.
Adesanya, at the briefing, said: “IPAC Ondo State has absolute confidence in the ability of the REC, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola, to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the forthcoming Nov. 16, 2024 governorship election.
“IPAC, Ondo State Chapter, hereby unanimously passes vote of confidence on the Ondo State Resident Commissioner Mrs, Oluwatoyin Babalola, to carry out her statutory obligations concerning the Nov. 16 election.
“Security agents in the state should arrest hired political thugs that might disrupt peace, before, during and after the governorship election”.
Some groups from Ondo state on Tuesday protested to INEC headquarters in Abuja calling for the redeployment the state INEC REC, Mrs, Oluwatoyin Babalola alleging her relationship with a particular political party and therefore cannot be trusted to conduct the November 16, governorship election.
