By Idris BubaNewly sworn in governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, seems to have hit the ground running with appointments.
The governor, has named Barrister Musa Ikhilor as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Also named on Tuesday after his inauguration are Dr. Samson Osagie, a former federal lawmaker, has been nominated as the State’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, while Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, son of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, was nominated as Health Commissioner, his father Adams Oshiomhole, is the incumbent Senator representing Edo North senatorial district in the National Assembly and was instrumental to the victory of Governor Okpebholo.

Okpebholo had the a day before his assumption of office, appointed Fred Itua, as his Chief Press Secretary.
According to a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, the nominees will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly by Governor Okpebholo for confirmation.
